2019 Tour de Dirt Mountain Bike Race Series Kicks Off this month – TIME FOR BACON!
What? Bacon??? The kind of bacon we are talking about comes from racing mountain bikes. According to the Pactimo.com glossary of cycling terminology, bacon is “slang for scabs, cuts, scars and other scrapes and abrasions from crashing”. According to our calendar, its bacon time, as the first Tour de Dirt race series event called the 2019 Turkey Mountain Bike Festival will be held February 23rd-February 24th at 5400 S. Olympia Avenue in Tulsa. This race season opening two-day event benefits the children at the Oklahoma Firefighters Burn Camp. The race/event schedule is as follows:

The Turkey Mountain mountain bike trails consist of approximately 10 miles of scenic trails for everyone from beginner to the expert/technical rider. The trails are part of the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area and are free to the public. Registration can be done through the USA Cycling website (usacycling.org) or the day of the race.
